The Commission has received the following applications:

ATLANTIC REGION

1. MARYSTOWN, Newfoundland
|
Application (883078800) by VOCM RADIO NEWFOUNDLAND LIMITED, P.O. Box 8590, St. John's, Newfoundland A1B 3P5 to amend the broadcasting licence for CHCM Marystown, by changing the frequency from 560 kHz to 740 kHz and by increasing the night-time transmitter power from 5,000 to 10,000 watts.

The applicant also proposes to change the transmitter location from 47°09'33"N., 55°14'37"W. to 47°08'41"N., 55°16'22"W. (site previously used by CBNM Marystown).

The applicant states that these changes will result in a much better service to Southern Newfoundland.

This application is contingent upon approval of application (883079600) by VOCM Radio Newfoundland Limited to amend the broadcasting licence for CHVO Spaniard's Bay/Harbour Grace, Newfoundland by changing the frequency from 850 kHz to 560 kHz.

Application (883079600) by VOCM RADIO NEWFOUNDLAND LIMITED, P.O. Box 8590, St. John's, Newfoundland A1B 3P5 to amend the broadcasting licence for CHVO Spaniard's Bay/Harbour Grace by changing the frequency from 850 kHz to 560 kHz.

The applicant states that the change will result in a much better service in some of the marginal fringe areas of Conception Bay.

a) for approval to transfer all of the issued shares of the licensee, currently held by five shareholders, each controlling 201 of the voting equity, to Halifax Cablevision Limited.

As a result of this transact#ion, Seabreeze Cablevision Limited will be effectively controlled by Halifax Cablevision Limited. The ownership of the licensee will therefore be changed as follows:

Box 130, Coronation, Alberta, T0C 1C0 licensee of the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Coronation, for approval to transfer 50 Class A common voting shares (50%) from Donald Dobson to Grant Robinson, an existing shareholder who already holds 50 Class A common voting shares (50%). Grant Robinson also owns and controls Progressive Cable Television Ltd., licensee of the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Consort, Alberta.

As a result of this transaction, Grant Robinson would acquire the effective control of Coronation, the ownership of which would therefore be changed as follows:
