Decision

Ottawa, 22 December 1989
Decision CRTC 89-914
Radio MF Charlevoix Inc.
Saint-Hilarion, Quebec - 891572000
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1989-123 dated 3 November 1989, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CIHO-MF Saint-Hilarion by moving the transmitter site approximately 10 kilometers northwest from Mont des Éboulements to Montagne de la Croix at Saint-Hilarion and by changing the effective radiated power from 2,200 to 2,450 watts.
The licensee stated that these changes have been prompted by the need to resolve the electrical problems at the transmitter site and thus ensure a reliable and permanent service.
The Commission notes that the changes approved in this decision will result in a reduction of the coverage primarily to the south-shore of the Saint Lawrence River as well as in the Saint-Siméon area in Charlevoix County.
