Decision

Ottawa, 11 May 1988
Decision CRTC 88-340
Omineca Cablevision Ltd.
Fraser Lake, British Columbia -873172100
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1988-32 dated 29 February 1988, the Commission renews the licence for the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Fraser Lake held by Omineca Cablevision Ltd., from 1 October 1988 to 31 August 1993. The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
The licensee also requested to add a condition of licence relieving it of the requirement pursuant to section 22 of the regulations, to distribute the priority station CFFL-TV-1 (CTV) Fraser Lake. In view of the very poor reception quality of this signal, the Commission approves the licensee's proposal. It notes that the licensee was authorized to delete the carriage of this signal in Decision CRTC 86-315 dated 27 March 1986 and that this programming will continue to be provided to subscribers through CHAN-TV Vancouver, received via satellite from the CANCOM network.
