Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1986-322 dated 21 November 1986, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CFMT-TV Toronto by making available, in the vertical blanking interval, closed captioning of programs for the hearing-impaired.

The Commission has noted the intervention from the Ontario Closed Captioned Consumers acknowledging the licensee's efforts to support the development of closed captioned television programs and encouraging it to maintain these efforts.
