Decision

Ottawa, 26 February 1987
Decision CRTC 87-139
Colchester Cable Services Limited
Debert, Belmont and surrounding area, Nova Scotia - 862943800
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1987-3 dated 7 January 1987, the Commission approves, by condition of licence, the application to be relieved from the requirement of section 23 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the new regulations), according to which the licensee must distribute "at least four television programming services delivered to its local head end by a network operator licensed to extend television and radio services to remote and underserved communities, at least one of which must be a Canadian programming service".
In approving this application, the Commission has taken into account the fact that the licensee currently distributes pay television and specialty services and that this system does not own a head end and receives all its programming services from Eastern Cablevision Limited, a Class 1 cable undertaking serving Truro.
Fernand Bélisle
Secretary General
