BELL CANADA - AMENDED DIRECTIONS ON PROCEDURE REGARDING THE REVIEW OF REVENUE REQUIREMENTS FOR 1985, 1986 AND 1987
In CRTC Telecom Public Notice 1985-85, dated 23 December 1985 (Public Notice 1985-85) the Commission directed Bell Canada (Bell) to file on 10 February 1986 the Memoranda of Support contemplated by section 38(1)(b) of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure to address the test years 1985, 1986 and 1987.
In a letter dated 24 December 1985, Bell requested a two week postponement of the filing date of 10 February 1986 in order to provide the information required in Public Notice 1985-85.
The Commission has considered Bell's request and has decided to amend its Directions on Procedure as specified in Public Notice 1985-85 and in CRTC Telecom Public Notice 1985-30, dated 16 April 1985. Items 1 to 6 of the Directions will now read as follows:
1. The filing date of the Memoranda of Support will be 24 February 1986.
2. Letters of intervention and notices of intention to participate at the central hearing are required
to be filed by 11 April 1986.
3. Interrogatories addressed to the applicant are required to be filed and served by 11 April 1986,
provided that supplementary interrogatories may be permitted after that date with the consent
of the Commission. The applicant is required to respond to interrogatories received within the
specified time limit by 12 May 1986.
4. A pre-hearing conference is scheduLed to take place in the Conference Centre, Phase IV,
Place du Portage, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec commencing 27 May 1986.
5. Provided the filing is completed to the satisfaction of the Commission, the central hearing will
commence in the Conference Centre, Phase IV, Place du Portage, 140 Promenade du
Portage, Hull, Quebec on 2 June 1986.
6. Regional hearings will be held in the period from 26 May to 30 May 1986, if considered
necessary, in locations to be announced.
