TELESAT CANADA - EXPERIMENTAL SERVICES PROGRAM
Reference: Tariff Notice 93
The Commission has received an application from Telesat Canada (Telesat, the Company), dated 1 February 1985, for approval of Tariff CRTC 8010 covering the introduction of an Experimental Services Program. The proposed program would provide for the offer of the equivalent of up to 2 uncommitted RF channels on Telesat's 6/4 GHz and 14/12 GHz satellites and would permit the leasing of Partial RF channels or whole Unprotected Preemptible RF channels at discount rates for experimental purposes. The program is proprosed to be effective from 1 March 1985, or later, to 30 June 1987 and would permit the discounted RF channels to be leased generally for 1 year or less.
The application may be examined at Telesat's business offices at 333 River Road, Ottawa, Ontario or at the offices of the CRTC, Room 561, Central Building, Les Terrasses de la Chaudière, 1 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec. A copy of the application may be obtained by any interested party upon request directed to the Company at the address shown below.
