TELESAT CANADA - "SEAT SALE" PROGRAM
Reference: Tariff Notice 92
The Commission has received an application from Telesat Canada (Telesat, the Company), dated 1 February 1985, for approval of Tariff CRTC 8009 covering the introduction of its "Seat Sale Program". Using uncommitted RF channels on Anik B (6/4 GHz space segment) and Anik C2 (14/12 GHz space segment) the proposed program would permit customers to lease one Full Period Unprotected, Preemptible channel, at 50% of the regular rate for each Full Period RF channel leased at regular rates. The program, proposed to be effective from 1 March 1985 to 31 December 1986, would permit the discounted RF channels to be leased for 1 year commencing no later than 1 January 1986.
The application may be examined at Telesat's business offices at 333 River Road, Ottawa, Ontario or at the offices of the CRTC, Room 561, Central Building, Les Terrasses de la Chaudière, 1 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec. A copy of the application may be obtained by any interested party upon request directed to the Company at the address shown below.
