Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1985-4 dated 4 January 1985, the Commission approves the applications by the licensees noted above to amend the broadcasting licences for the television stations listed below by adding, in the vertical blanking interval, closed captioning for persons with impaired hearing.
The licensees are expected to adhere to the applicable guidelines specified in Public Notice CRTC 1984-117 dated 17 May 1984 entitled "Services using the Vertical Blanking Interval (Television) or Subsidiary Communications Multiplex Operation (FM)."
