Decision

Decision CRTC 84-34

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission hereby announces that it approves the applications to change the authorized distribution of the broadcasting receiving undertakings listed in the appendix to this decision by adding the distribution of pay television stereo signals on their cable audio service. This approval is subject to the condition that the addition of these signals not cause the removal of any Canadian service currently distributed on the cable audio service.
As noted in Public Notice CRTC 1984-2, this authority is granted on an interim basis until 31 December 1984, so as not to prejudice the Commission's final determination which will be made in the context of its policy statement on the Review of Radio dealing with the priorities to be established for the cable carriage of radio services, which will be released shortly.
