Telecom Costs Order CRTC 84-1

In re: British Columbia Telephone Company, General Increase in Rates, Interim Rate Increase, Telecom Decision CRTC 84-16, 20 June 1984

Application for costs by the Consumers' Association of Canada (CAC).

DIRECTION AS TO COSTS

1. The application of CAC for an award of costs in respect of the construction program review meeting, 17-18 January 1984, is hereby approved.

2. The Commission considers that CAC's application meets the requirements of section 73 of the National Transportation Act and of subsection 44(1) of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure and, in particular, that this construction program review meeting is properly considered to be an integral part of the interim general rate increase proceeding which resulted in Telecom Decision CRTC 84-16, 20 June 1984.

3. Costs awarded herein shall be paid to CAC by British Columbia Telephone Company.

4. Costs awarded herein shall be subject to taxation in accordance with the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure.

5. Costs awarded herein shall be taxed by Greg van Koughnett.

6. CAC shall, within thirty days of the issue of this order, submit a bill of costs and an affidavit of disbursements to the taxing officer and serve a copy thereof on British Columbia Telephone Company.
