RE: Request for Emergency Notification in Toronto, Ontario

Dear Mr. Kalsi:

On 3 November 2015, Rogers Communications (Wireless) [Rogers] requested that Commission staff approve an emergency notification activation date of 14 December 2015 for central office codes 647-640 and 647-641 in Toronto, Ontario.

In its request, Rogers indicated that it has seen an increase in activations over the course of the last three months that had been underestimated internally. As a result, its numbering inventory has been depleted past what its earlier projections had forecasted. It was, therefore, requesting an acceleration for the effective date of its request of two new NXXs in Toronto.

Rogers is reminded that it must submit a new Part 1 form to the Canadian Numbering Administrator with the new effective date.

Commission staff considers this request for an emergency notification activation date of 14 December 2015 to be reasonable.

Sincerely,
