Good morning,
I have been asked to do a walk-around SC meeting for the following item - so here it is. The CSCN considers
this urgent since there are several Switchless Resellers who are waiting for this change in order to obtain
Carrier Identification Codes (CICs) to provide service in Canada.
At CSCN 66 held on 16 April 2003, the CSCN reached agreement to accept
TIF Report 32, regarding the assignment of CICs to Switchless
Resellers. The CSCN TIF Report 32 is attached, including the proposed revised Canadian CIC Adjunct and its
two attachments A and B.
In this TIF Report, the CSCN recommends that the CISC and CRTC approve the modified Canadian Adjunct to the INC
Carrier Identification Code (CIC) Assignment Guidelines for application in Canada, which allows the assignment
of CICs to Switchless Resellers.
Parties have until next Monday 12 May 2003 to provide comment.
