Licence of CINC-FM Thompson amended to include transmitters
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1998-48 dated 15 May 1998, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CINC-FM Thompson by adding the authority for the transmitters at the locations noted above, for which Native Communication Inc. holds separate licences.
2. Transmitters at the above-noted locations, except for the one at Cross Lake, were originally licensed as radio programming undertakings to broadcast the programming of CINC-FM and some local programming. The Cross Lake transmitter was licensed as a radiocommunication distribution undertaking to rebroadcast the programming of CINC-FM and the programming of CFWE-FM Lac La Biche. All of the transmitters are now rebroadcasting exclusively the programming of CINC-FM.
3. The addition of the transmitters to the licence of CINC-FM will bring this licence into conformity with the Broadcasting Act and with Public Notice CRTC 1991-63 entitled New Broadcasting Act - Amendment to Classes of Licence. The amendment will take effect upon expiry of the separate licences currently issued in respect of the transmitters at the locations noted above, that is 31 August 1998.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
