Re: Procedural letter – Application Withdrawal Request Québecor Media Inc., on behalf of Videotron Ltd. - Application 2019-0462-3

Dear Madam,

This is in respect to the letter filed on 23 March 2020 by Québecor Media Inc., on behalf of Videotron Ltd. (Videotron), pursuant to section 7 of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure. Videotron has requested that the Commission withdraw its Part 1 application dated 14 June 2019 which was processed by the Commission in public process 2019-0462-3.

Commission staff notes that Videotron’s request follows a 16 March 2020 Commission determination in which the Commission noted Videotron’s option to withdraw its original application and file a new one. Staff also notes that BCE Inc. (on behalf of Bell Media Inc. and Bell Télé) did not object to Videotron’s request.

Given the above, Commission staff confirms that application 2019-0462-3 is henceforth closed and that the Commission will not make a ruling on the complaint. A copy of this letter will be added to the public record of application 2019-0462-3.

Sincerely,
