CKTC-FM Red Deer – Revocation of licence
- Red Deer Visitor and Convention Bureau has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the low-power, English-language tourist information radio programming undertaking CKTC-FM Red Deer, Alberta, to continue its operation as an exempt undertaking pursuant to the exemption order set out in Appendix 4 to Amendments to various regulations, the standard conditions of licence for video-on-demand undertakings and certain exemption orders – Provisions requiring the mandatory distribution of emergency alert messages, Broadcasting Regulatory Policy CRTC 2014-444 and Broadcasting Orders CRTC 2014-445, 2014-446, 2014-447 and 2014-448, 29 August 2014 (Broadcasting Order 2014-447).
- Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Red Deer Visitor and Convention Bureau for the above-mentioned undertaking.
- The Commission reminds the operator of this undertaking that it must, at all times, comply with the criteria contained in Broadcasting Order 2014-447.
