Re: Follow up to Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2010-632; ILECs’ cost studies - request for extension
The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 24 November 2010 from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant) requesting an extension in the date for filing cost studies for its aggregated ADSL access services. Bell Aliant submitted that it had difficulty completing its cost studies within the time frame set out in Telecom Regulatory Policy 2010-632 and requested an extension to 10 December 2010. Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel) supported Bell Aliant’s extension request. Both parties cited the extension requests from the cable carriers and asked that an extension for filing cost studies for aggregated ADSL access services be granted to all participating carriers.
In the circumstances, a one-time extension to Bell Aliant, SaskTel, Bell Canada, MTS Allstream Inc., and TELUS Communications Company for filing their cost studies for aggregated ADSL access services is appropriate. Accordingly, their cost studies and associated interrogatory responses are to be filed with the Commission and served on all parties by 10 December 2010 at the latest. The above material must be received, not merely sent, by the above dates.
