CJSE-FM Shediac – Technical change | |
1. | The Commission approves the application by Radio Beauséjour inc. to amend the broadcasting licence for the French-language Type B community FM radio programming undertaking CJSE-FM Shediac in order to change the frequency of the transmitter CJSE-FM-1 Memramcook from 101.7 MHz (channel 269LP) to 92.5 MHz (channel 223LP). All other technical parameters will remain unchanged. The implementation is subject to the notification by the Department of Industry (the Department) discussed in paragraph 3 below. |
2. | The frequency change is necessary given the approval set out in Broadcasting Decision 2009-224 and corrected in Broadcasting Decision 2009-224-1, in which the Commission authorized CKDH-FM Moncton to use frequency 101.7 MHz in Amherst, Nova Scotia. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application. |
3. | The Commission reminds the licensee that pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued. Therefore, in the absence of the notification by the Department, the licensee will not be able to implement the new technical parameters approved in this decision. |
