Re: Local Competition in small ILEC territories
On 26 June 2009, Commission staff addressed questions to certain parties related to the implementation of local competition in the territories of certain small incumbent local exchange carriers. Responses to Commission staff’s questions were submitted on 7 August 2009, and parties’ comments were filed on 21 August 2009. The current process allows reply comments to be filed on 4 September 2009.
In light of the important policy issues raised by the parties in their submissions, Commission staff considers that further process is required in order to develop a more complete record.
Accordingly, parties are requested not to file reply comments at this time. Further directions on procedure will be issued at a future date.
