Dear Mr. Hennessey :

Re:  Aliant Telecom Tariff Notice 181 - Six Port Conference Service

On 28 October 2005 , the Commission received Tariff Notice 181 proposing the introduction of Six Port Conference service to customers in Prince Edward Island , and service alignment with regard to pricing, provisioning and availability across Aliant Telecom's operating territory.   The company requested approval of the proposed tariff modification for an effective date of 9 January 2006 .

In view of the company's requested effective date, which is beyond the 25 calendar day period provided to parties wishing to file comments on the company's proposal, the Commission will not issue an interim decision on this filing.   The Commission will render its decision on TN 181 after the 25 day comment period has expired.

Yours sincerely,
