Telecom Order CRTC 2002-452

Ottawa, 5 December 2002

Société en commandite Télébec

Reference: 8340-T5-0857/00, 8340-T78-0857/01

Interconnection agreement between local exchange carriers

1.

The Commission received an application by Société en commandite Télébec (Télébec), dated 2 May 2002 for approval of the executed Master Agreement for Local Interconnection (the agreement) between Télébec and Maskatel Inc. (Maskatel).

2.

By letter dated 24 October 2002, Télébec filed Schedule C of the agreement.

3.

The Commission has been informed that Télébec filed Schedule C in confidence as the release of this information would provide competitors with sensitive network configuration information. Télébec did not provide an abridged version of that document for the public record as it would not have been meaningful.

4.

The agreement sets out the terms and conditions for the provision of local interconnection facilities and termination service between Télébec's and Maskatel's networks.

5.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

6.

The Commission approves Télébec's application.
