CBU Vancouver - Technical amendments |
|
1. |
The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CBU Vancouver in order to change the frequency of its transmitter, CBRU Squamish, from 1260 kHz (Class LP) to 1270 kHz (Class C), and to increase its transmitter power from 40 watts day and night to 400 watts daytime and 200 watts night-time. |
2. |
The changes will significantly improve both daytime and night-time coverage in Squamish and the surrounding communities. |
3. |
The Commission received one intervention in support of this application. |
4. |
The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued. |
