Order CRTC 2001-719

Ottawa, 20 September 2001

TELUS Communications Inc.
Tariff notices 393 and 393A

Exchange rate centres

The Commission approves TCI's request:

· that calls originating from non-dialable toll points be rated using the traditional V & H co-ordinates methodology, based on the closest existing rate centre as determined by straight line mileage;

· to introduce a condition to clarify that the lowest mileage band shall be used for rating and billing of calls placed from a toll station within the same rate centre; and

· to make housekeeping changes.

TCI filed the application on 26 June 2001 and amended it on 9 August 2001 to revise items 145 and 270 of its General Tariff and item 200 of its V & H Co-ordinates Tariff.

The revisions take effect on the date of this order.
