Further to its Public Notice CRTC 2000-69 dated 26 May 2000, the Commission announces the following:
THE FOLLOWING ITEM IS AMENDED AND THE CHANGES ARE UNDERLINED:
Item 1
ACROSS CANADA
Application (199918406) by CHUM LIMITED/CHUM LIMITÉE to renew and to amend the broadcasting licence of the national English-language specialty television service known as "BRAVO!", expiring 28 February 2001.
The licensee proposes the following alternative to its licence conditions:
- to increase the service's broadcast day to 24 hours; and
- to redefine its Canadian content level to 50% for the broadcast day as well as during the evening broadcast period.
Currently BRAVO! operates its service over an 18-hour broadcast day with Canadian content levels of 60 %, for the broadcast day and 50% for the evening broadcast period.
