LAN-C service

The Commission approves MTS's request to introduce 10, 100 or 1,000 Mbps ethernet connectivity within metropolitan areas defined as LAN-C serving areas.
LAN-C service provides business customers with cost effective, high-speed ethernet transport solutions at speeds up to 1,000 Mbps. The service is intended to interconnect two or more customer networks, operating at the same speeds, within a metropolitan area.
MTS filed this application on 9 May 2000 to add Item 6030 to its Supplementary Tariff Special Services and Facilities.
These revisions will take effect on 16 June 2000.
