Change in frequency for CBAK
|
1. The Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CHAK Inuvik by changing the frequency of the transmitter CBAK Aklavik, from 540 kHz to 1210 kHz. The transmitter power remains at 40 watts.

2. The CBC indicated that the higher frequency will improve service to the community.
|
3. In accordance with subsection 22 (1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority will only be granted at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Industry that it will issue a Broadcasting Certificate.
