Following a Public Hearing in Toronto beginning on 19 May 1992, the Commission approves the application for a broadcasting licence for a Native-language FM radio programming undertaking at Poplar Hill, on the frequency 90.1 MHz, channel 211, with an effective radiated power of 10 watts.

Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1990-89 dated 20 September 1990 entitled Native Broadcasting Policy, the Commission will issue a licence for a Type A FM native radio station. This licence will expire on 31 March 1999, and will be subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued.

The Commission notes that the station will broadcast 32 hours per week of local programming, which will be predominantly in Oji-Cree. In addition, the station will rebroadcast network programming received from the Wawatay Communications Society, originating from Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
