Following a Public Hearing held in the National Capital Region on 28 May 1991, the Commission approves the application for a special FM licence for a French-language community radio programming undertaking (Type B) at Dalhousie on a frequency of 99.9 MHz, channel 260, with an effective radiated power of 31 watts to broadcast "La 12e Finale des Jeux de l'Acadie à Dalhousie", from 27 to 30 June 1991.
The Commission will issue a licence, the term of which will be 27 to 30 June 1991, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
The Department of Communications (DOC) has advised that the undertaking will have an effective radiated power of 31 watts rather than 50 watts, as had been indicated in CRTC Notice of Public Hearing 1991-5 dated 27 March 1991.
It is a condition of licence that the applicant not broadcast more than an average of 4 minutes of advertising per hour per day, with a maximum of 6 minutes per hour, in accordance with the community radio policy for Type B stations. In accordance with subsection 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the DOC that it will issue a Broadcasting Certificate.
