Decision

Ottawa, 17 April 1991
Decision CRTC 91-200
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Destruction Bay, Yukon Territory - 900617200
Following a Public Hearing in Vancouver beginning on 12 February 1991, the Commission approves the application for a licence for an FM radio broadcasting transmitting undertaking at Destruction Bay on the frequency 105.1 MHz, channel 286, with an effective radiated power of 96 watts to rebroadcast the programs of CFWH Whitehorse, received via satellite.
The Commission notes that CFWH broadcasts local programming and programming originating with the CBC English-language AM radio network. The Destruction Bay undertaking will be operated as part of the CBC English-language AM radio network.
The Commission will issue a licence expiring 31 August 1994, subject to the conditions specified in the licence to be issued. This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of other CBC radio stations across Canada.
