The Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVOntario)

Following a Public Hearing in the National Capital Region beginning on 27 November 1990, the Commission approves the applications for licences for English-language television broadcasting transmitting undertakings at the communities noted in the appendix to this decision to rebroadcast the programs of the Ontario Provincial Legislative Assembly, received via satellite. The channel carriage and transmitter power are also noted in the appendix.
The Commission will issue licences to The Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVOntario) expiring 31 August 1992, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licences to be issued. This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of these licences at the same time as that of TVOntario's licence for the carriage of the Ontario Provincial Legislative Assembly.
It is a condition of each licence that construction of the undertaking be completed and that it be in operation within twelve months of the date of this decision or, where the applicant applies to the Commission within this period and satisfies the Commission that it cannot complete implementation before the expiry of this period and that an extension is in the public interest, within such further period of time as is approved in writing by the Commission.
