Decision

Ottawa, 13 September 1988
Decision CRTC 88-621
Radio Témiscamingue Inc.
Témiscaming, Québec -880748900
Following a Public Hearing in TroisRivières on 5 July 1988, the Commission approves the application for a licence for a French-language FM radio broadcasting transmitting undertaking at Témiscaming on the frequency 92.1 MHz, channel 221, with an effective radiated power of 10 watts to rebroadcast the programs of CKVM Ville Marie.
The Commission will issue a licence expiring 30 September 1989, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued. This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of CKVM, the originating station.
The Commission notes that the applicant proposes to operate the station at 10 watts, rather than the 50-watt level indicated by the Commission in CRTC Notice of Public Hearing 1988-37, dated 6 May 1988. In accordance with the applicant's proposal, this approval is conditional upon the surrender of its licence to operate AM radio station CKVT Témiscaming.
It is a condition of licence that the authority granted herein be implemented within twelve months of the date of this decision or, where the applicant applies to the Commission and satisfies the Commission that it cannot implement its authority before the expiry of this twelve-month period and that an extension of this period is in the public interest, within such further period of time as is approved in writing by the Commission.
Fernand Bélisle
Secretary General
