Decision

Ottawa, 6 August 1986
Decision CRTC 86-714
Skeena Broadcasters Ltd.
Burns Lake, British Columbia - 851272500
Following a Public Hearing in Vancouver on 8 July 1986, the Commission approves the application for a broadcasting licence for an English-language FM radio station at Burns Lake on the frequency 92.9 MHz, channel 225, with an effective radiated power of 4.5 watts to rebroadcast the programs of CJFW-FM Terrace.
The Commission will issue a licence expiring 30 September 1987, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued. This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of CJFW-FM Terrace.
It is a condition of licence that construction of the station be completed and that it be in operation within twelve months of the date of this decision or such further period as the Commission may, upon receipt of a request for extension before the expiry of the said twelve months, deem appropriate under the circumstances.
The Commission acknowledges the intervention submitted by Cariboo Central Interior Radio Network (CFBV) opposing this application based on economic conditions in this region.

Secretary General
