Decision CRTC 85-33
For related documents: see Public Notices CRTC 1984-70 and 1984-284 dated 16 March and 26 November 1984 respectively and Circular No. 295 dated 16 March 1984 and also Canada Gazette Notice No. DGTR-001-84 dated 28 January 1984.
The Commission hereby approves the applications to amend the broadcasting licences for the undertakings listed below by increasing their night-time power from 250 watts to 1,000 watts (except for CJAR The Pas which will increase from 500 watts to 1,000 watts).
These applications were submitted as a result of bilateral agreements concluded between Canada and the United States relating to certain AM broadcasting stations.
In accordance with paragraph 22(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendments for CHLW-1 Grand Centre and CILW Wainwright, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Communications that it will issue amendments to the Technical Construction and Operating Certificates of these stations.
