Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1984-86 dated 6 April 1984, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission announces that it approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CJAV Port Alberni by deleting the condition of licence which requires the station to operate as an affiliate of the CBC English-language AM radio network. The CBC programming will be replaced primarily by music.
The CBC English-language AM radio network service has been available since December 1983, through CBTQ-FM Port Alberni operating on frequency 98.1 MHz (channel 251).
