Subject: Filing of Canadian Administrator of VRS (CAV), Inc. 2017 Annual Budget

Dear Ms. Decker:

Two discrepancies have been noted in your Part 1 Application requesting approval of CAV’s annual funding.

Discrepancy 1: Paragraph 6 of the application indicates that CAV is anticipating a deficit for the 2016 operating year of $##; however Table 1: CAV Anticipated Funding Requirements for 2017 shows that the “funds projected to be needed from 2016” are $##.

Discrepancy 2: The amounts allocated to expense categories set out in Table 1: CAV Anticipated Funding Requirements for 2017 shows the sum to be $##; however the row which contains “totals to be expended” shows the sum to be $##.  Further, the row heading “totals to be expended” gives the year 2016 rather than 2017.

While the discrepancies account for less than 0.01% of the amount requested, CAV is nonetheless requested to either provide corrected figures, including a revised table 1, or provide an explanation for the discrepancies.

The requested information is to be filed with the Commission by no later than
17 October 2016 by using the secured service “My CRTC Account” (Partner Log In or GCKey).  When filing submit both a confidential and abridged version of your response.

A copy of this letter and all subsequent correspondence will be added to the public record.  As set out in Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin 2010-961, Procedures for filing confidential information and requesting its disclosure in Commission proceedings, persons may designate certain information as confidential.
