Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2001-2 dated 26 January 2001 relating to the Public Hearing which will be held on 26 March 2001 at the Hilton Montréal Bonaventure, 1 Place Bonaventure, Montréal, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:

CORRECTION TO ITEM:

1a.

ACROSS CANADA

Application (2000-2309-4) by QUEBECOR MÉDIA INC.

Because of the extent and complexity of the transaction and in order to ensure an adequate application of the policy on tangible benefits, the Commission ordered from an independent consultant an evaluation report of Le Groupe Vidéotron ltée (GVL) and its various components. The report shows, among other things, an evaluation of GVL's cable and television broadcasting operations. The report does not represent the position of the Commission at this stage.

The report has been placed on the Commission's public file and copies have been sent to the applicant to be placed on the public file available for examination at the locations indicated in Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2001-2 dated 26 January 2001.

With regard to the report and its effect on the matter of tangible benefits, the Commission is extending the intervention deadline for the public to 12 March 2001. However, as indicated in the Notice of Public Hearing, the deadline for interventions with regard to other matters remains 1 March 2001.
