Decision CRTC 2001-535

Ottawa, 31 August 2001

Radio Témiscaminque inc.
Ville-Marie and Témiscaming, Quebec

Three-month renewal

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CKVM Ville-Marie and its transmitter CKVM-FM-1 Témiscaming, from 1 September 2001 to 30 November 2001, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

The Commission heard the application for the renewal of CKVM's licence at the 19 June 2001 Public Hearing in the National Capital Region. However, it will not be able to rule on this application before the current licence expires.

The decision released today does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. The Commission will issue a decision on the renewal application at a later date.
