Re: Application No. 2000-2286-4 - Approved
Transfer of control and shares
- Monarch Cablesystems West Ltd. requests authority to acquire all the issued and outstanding shares of OKS Cable Corporation from Okanagan Skeena Group Limited, licensee of cable distribution undertakings serving Elkford, Fernie, Hazelton, Hope, Houston, Kimberley, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Smithers, Sparwood, Stewart and Terrace, British Columbia.

The Commission approves the above-noted application for authority to effect a change in the effective control of OKS Cable Corporation. The change in effective control of OKS Cable Corporation will be effected through the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares from Okanagan Skeena Group Limited to Monarch Cablesystems West Ltd.

The Commission notes that Monarch Cablesystems West Ltd., a company ultimately controlled by W. H. Yuill, will now exercise control over OKS Cable Corporation.

The Commission will modify its ownership records to reflect the authorized ownership of OKS Cable Corporation as shown in the attached appendix.

All letters of approval issued by the Commission are made available for public examination at the Commission's central office. Reference to this letter will be made available at the Commission's web site at www.crtc.gc.ca in the official language in which the application was submitted. The Commission also requires you to append this letter to your licence.
