Telecom Order

Ottawa, 15 September 1999

Telecom Order CRTC 99-892

On 13 July 1999, Call-Net Enterprises Inc. filed, on behalf of Call-Net Communications Inc., an application for approval of rate changes to General Tariff Item 302, Contribution Charges for Trunk-Side and Line-Side Access, amending its contribution rates for Alberta to remain consistent with those of the Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier.

File No.: Tariff Notice 8

1.The Commission considers that the terms associated with contribution charges require additional wording to clarify that switching and aggregation charges apply only when the interconnecting circuit is associated with trunk-side access.

2.In light of the foregoing:

The Commission approves the revisions proposed under Tariff Notice 8 on an interim basis, with the following amendment:

In Item 302, 1a) add the phrase "when the interconnecting circuit is associated with trunk-side access" immediately after the phrase "the Switching and Aggregation charge, item 301.2, also applies".
