Licence amendment for CBL

1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1997-140 dated 2 December 1997, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CBL Toronto (the originating station) by adding a transmitter at Penetanguishene, on the frequency 89.7 MHz (channel 209A), with an effective radiated power of 2,800 watts.

2. The CBC stated that it expects the transmitter to provide improved service to the area.

3. The Commission acknowledges the intervention received in support of the application.

This decision is to be appended to the licence.
