Decision CRTC 93-723
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Port Hardy, British Columbia - 920943800
Addition of a transmitter
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1993-141 dated 15 October 1993, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CBU Vancouver (the originating station), by authorizing the licensee to add a transmitter at Port Hardy, operating on frequency 95.5 MHz (channel 238A1) with an effective radiated power of 109 watts.
According to the CBC, the proposed FM transmitter will replace CBRW Port Hardy and will improve the quality of the CBC's radio service to Port Hardy and surrounding areas. The CBC will cease operation of CBRW within twelve months following the implementation of the new FM transmitter.
