Decision CRTC 93-721
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Bella Bella, British Columbia - 922256300
Addition of a transmitter
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1993-141 dated 15 October 1993, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for radio programming undertaking CBYG-FM Prince George, by authorizing the licensee to add a transmitter at Bella Bella, operating on frequency 89.9 MHz (channel 210A) with an effective radiated power of 98.3 watts.
According to the CBC, the proposed FM transmitter will replace CBTB Bella Bella, increase the coverage and improve the quality of the CBC's radio service around Bella Bella. The CBC will cease operation of CBTB twelve months after the implementation of the new FM transmitter.
In view of the approval granted herein, no further action is required on the application 921345500 submitted by the CBC for the deletion of CBTB.
