Decision

Ottawa, 25 April 1991
Decision CRTC 91-246
Four Seasons Radio Ltd.
Nelson, British Columbia - 910088400
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1991-25 dated 25 February 1991, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CKKC Nelson by changing the frequency from 1390 kHz to 880 kHz; by relocating the transmitter to a new site located one-half kilometre away from the existing site; and by reducing the night-time power from 1000 watts to 700 watts.
The Department of Communications (DOC) has advised that the proposed day-time operation should provide an overall increase in coverage and service in all directions and the proposed night-time coverage will be slightly less than the existing night-time coverage.
In accordance with paragraph 13(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the DOC that it will issue an amendment to the Broadcasting Certificate.
