Decision

Ottawa, 17 November 1986
Decision CRTC 86-1098
The Alberta Educational Communications Corporation
Banff, Alberta - 861269900
Following a Public Hearing in Winnipeg on 9 September 1986, the Commission approves the application for a broadcasting licence for an English-language FM radio station at Banff, on the frequency 104.3 MHz (channel 282A) with an effective radiated power of 84 watts, to rebroadcast the programs of CKUA-FM Edmonton.
The Commission will issue a licence expiring 30 September 1990 to The Alberta Educational Communications Corporation, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued. This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of CKUA-FM.
It is a condition of this licence that construction of the station be completed and that it be in operation within twelve months of the date of this decision or such further period as the Commission may, upon receipt of a request for extension before the expiry of the said twelve months, deem appropriate under the circumstances.
Fernand Bélisle
Secretary General
