To submit a broadcasting application to the CRTC, you need to:
You first need to fill in the appropriate application form.
You also need to create supporting documentation. Check the appendices in your application form. The appendices describe additional information you should provide with your application package.
Get your application package ready to go by naming files according to CRTC's requirements. You may also want to zip files together, if you have several.
Add numbers to your file names, in ascending order, so that the documents appear in correct order on the public file. File names should also include a brief description of the document content. For example, "Doc1-Overview", "Doc2-Intro", and so forth.
If you have more than one file, you may want to zip them, to minimize the number of files you're dealing with. For more information, go to WinZip.
The Cover Page is the electronic form you use to submit the application package to the CRTC. You also attach all the files in your package to the Cover Page.
When the file is attached it shows up on a list.
To indicate that the document is confidential, check the "Confidential" box for that file. You can also remove a file from the list.
When all the files are attached, and your entire application package is ready, click Finish.
You will receive a confirmation indicating the date and time it was received.
