Re: Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2017-160 - Requests, dated 22 and 23 June 2017, for the production of documents

In letters dated 22 and 23 June 2017, Mr. Nanni requested that the following documents be produced for the record of the Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2017-160 proceeding:

Section 29 of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure states the following:

29 (1) A party may request in writing that any other party produce for the requesting party’s inspection a copy of any document that has been referred to in a document that the other party has filed with the Commission and permit the requesting party to make copies of it.

(3) A party that fails to produce a copy of the document within 10 days after the day on which the request is filed must not rely on the document.

While responses were provided to Mr. Nanni’s letters, none of the documents that Mr. Nanni requested be produced for the record of the proceeding were provided.

In order to complete the record and address this procedural matter as efficiently as possible, parties are required to respond to the production request by either producing the document(s) or confirming that the document(s) will no longer be relied on as part of the responses to Commission requests for information.

Please provide the above by no later than 25 July 2017.

Where necessary, additional process will be communicated at a future date to allow interventions and reply comments regarding any new documents that are added to the public record as a result of the above.

Sincerely,

Donna Gill
