Decision of the Broadcasting Arbitrator

1. On 21 October 2016, the Broadcasting Arbitrator released a decision and an order with respect to the 2016 Re-Allocation of Paid Time. This decision, made pursuant to section 340(1) of the Canada Elections Act (the Act), replaces the 2016 Allocation of Paid Time made on 13 July 2016.
2. The Commission is required, pursuant to section 342(1) of the Act, to notify broadcasters and network operators of such allocations.
3. The Decision and Order of the Broadcasting Arbitrator may be viewed in full by going to the Elections Canada website.
