Renaming of Speed Channel as FOX Sports Racing on the List of non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution

  1. In Withdrawal of The Health Network and change of name for Speedvision, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2002-9, 18 February 2002, the Commission noted that Speedvision had changed its name to Speed Channel, and amended the List of non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution (the List)Footnote 1 to reflect this change. Speed Channel is a non-Canadian, English-language service consisting of programming that focuses on automotive, aviation and marine information and entertainment.

  2. In a letter to the Commission dated 13 February 2015, FOX Cable Networks indicated that Speed Channel would change its name to FOX Sports Racing effective 20 February 2015. Accordingly, the Commission amends the List to reflect this name change. The revised list can be found on the Commission’s website at www.crtc.gc.ca, by clicking on “TV & Radio” and selecting “Programming”. It may also be obtained in hard copy on request.
