Further to Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2012-224, the Commission announces the following (changes are in bold):

The Commission will hold a hearing commencing on 19 June 2012 at 9:00 a.m., at the Conference Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec.

The additional information to item 1 is in bold:

Item 1

Nipawin, Saskatchewan
Application 2011-1686-4

Application by CJNE FM Radio Inc. to renew the broadcasting licence for the English-language commercial radio programming undertaking CJNE-FM Nipawin, expiring 31 August 2012.

The Commission notes that the licensee has now filed the music list and the self-assessment report for the week of 8 to 14 January 2012. However, these documents were incomplete. Accordingly, it appears that the licensee may have failed to comply with sections 9(3)(a) and 9(3)(b) of the Radio Regulations, 1986 (the Regulations), respectively related to the requirement to produce a station self-assessment report and with the requirement to provide a list of musical selections in the order in which they were broadcast.

The Commission intends to inquire into these matters at the hearing, in addition to those already published in the Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2012-224. The Commission expects the licensee to show cause at this hearing why a mandatory order requiring the licensee to comply with sections 9(3)(a) and 9(3)(b) of the Regulations should not be issued.

Items 4, 11, 12 and 18 are amended and the changes are in bold:

Item 4

Niagara Falls, Ontario
Application 2011-0862-1

Application by Radio 710 AM Inc. to renew the broadcasting licence for the English-language tourist radio programming undertaking CJRN Niagara Falls, expiring 31 August 2012.

It appears that the licensee may have failed to comply with section 9(4) of the Regulations regarding the requirement to provide a response to a Commission inquiry for matters under its jurisdiction. Specifically, the licensee failed to provide its logger tapes for 14 and 15 August 2011 as requested. Further, the licensee has failed to provide a music list and a self-assessment report for the broadcast week of 14 to 20 August 2011.
