Northwestel Inc. – Digital Direct-CommunityTM Satellite Service

  1. On 3 August 2009, the Commission received an application by Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel), under Tariff Notice (TN) 862, in which the company proposed revisions to its Private Wire Service Tariff item 903 – Digital Direct-CommunityTM Satellite Service. Specifically, Northwestel proposed to provide a circuit with a speed of 512 kilobits per second. In Telecom Order 2009-499, the Commission approved Northwestel's application on an interim basis.
  2. The Commission did not receive any comments on this application.
  3. On 20 August 2009, the Commission received Northwestel TN 866, in which the company proposed minor changes to item 903. In Telecom Order 2009-591, the Commission approved TN 866 on a final basis.
  4. The Commission notes that paragraph 4 of page 123D, and Note 1 of page 123E of proposed TN 862 have been superseded by Telecom Order 2009-591.
  5. Accordingly, the Commission approves on a final basis, with the exceptions noted above, Northwestel's TN 862.
